I’m not sure if you’ve heard or not, but there’s an election coming up on Tuesday, November 8th.  Opinions around the topic are surely heated, but lucky for us, Komae isn’t here to tell you WHO to vote for, just that you SHOULD.  We’re also here to make it easier and to help mobilize family voters!

Going to the polling location, waiting in line, and properly exercising your selections in the voting booth can be a hassle when you have young children tugging at your hip. You can try to sell me on how it is a learning experience but let’s be honest, ain’t no one got patience to wait in the voting line with a toddler who’s past nap time! Often times, parents are unable to make it to the polls, or feel that they need to make their selections so quickly, that they don’t take the time they need to vote on every issue at hand.

We at Komae would like to offer a way to make this voting day less stressful for YOU.  We suggest that instead of skipping out, or having a stressful and rushed voting experience, you instead share sitting with your friends and engage your community to do the same this November 8th.

Komae is an app that allows parents to exchange free babysitting services with other parents they know and trust… and it’s both guilt and cash free!  Want to know more?  Here’s a short video:

So if you want to take a vacation to the voting booth kid-free this election day, you can do so with these three easy steps…

Step 1

Sign up for an account on Komae’s Web App.  Here’s the link!

Step 2

Invite friends from your community to join the app with you and then invite them to be part of your village on Komae. If you’d like a tutorial on how to do this, here you go!

Step 3

Post a babysitting request for yourself so YOU can go vote. And when you see your friends post their requests, be sure to offer to help them out as well.  The beauty of Komae is in the virtuous cycle of reciprocity!

Want to know more about Komae?  Be sure to take a look around our website here, follow us on Facebook, and ask us any questions you may have in the comments.  Happy to help.  Now get out and vote!
