Is My Social Circle Too Small for Komae? : Free Babysitting

Think you need a large social circle to use Komae? Absolutely not! That’s crazy talk, my friend. Let us share a few things with you…

First, if you have even just two friends you would be interested in sharing babysitting with, Komae can work for you! A village of three is better than a village of zero. Using the app will still serve as a guilt free way to communicate with those few friends that you know and trust to watch your children. And you never know… maybe they’ll introduce you to some other parents you can grow new friendships with!

Second, as Komae grows, Audrey and I would love to find tangible ways to assist you in meeting more Komae families in your neighborhood. What this might look like? Who knows! We’re dreamers after all, and the sky is the limit.

But right now, today, we would suggest you try these three things to begin building friendships that could turn into Komae villagers when the app goes live.

Get involved in a local church.

If you live in Akron, Ohio, we’re a little partial to Grace Church in Bath and would love to introduce you to the amazing community there. But no matter where you’re from, there are always great, loving churches to be found. And most of them have moms groups where you can begin to get to know other women in your stage of life!

Become a room mom or join the PTA.

If your kids are school age, get involved. This is an easy way to meet the parents that your children are spending their days with. These kids are likely the friends your children will keep for many years to come (if not a lifetime!), so getting to know their parents is a great idea anyhow! Why not make a friend that can become a Komae villager while you’re at it?

Join a local moms group.

These exist all over the place and are usually organized by cities and townships. One of the biggest mom group names out there is MOPS. Find one near you and start building your circle of trusted friends today!
